Sorry half of my post didn't take....
as for the stock tool... it works great I seen two types one that you put it on the plug and there's two round holes that you put a screwdriver in and turn. The other uses a wench on the outside of the spark plug socket. Don't put the new plugs in supper tight snug works great. As for the plastic I don't know but I can tell you most plugs on atvs are hard to get at.

man i just tried this week to take apart my carb do to some problems due to starting. maybe its my spark plug. i couldnt take it out. my socket isnt deep enough and i used a deep one ment for plugs. there has got to be a beter way than taking off the head plastick thats sealled with cocking. if your wondering wat it looks like the plug is sunken in like 1 inch ito that plastic
