one of friends raptors wont start when u hit the start button it only seems to make a funny noise by the starter its kinda like it dosent wanna turn the motor over but it will start sometimes what do u think do i need a new starter or what

 

It is most likely the oneway clutch to the starter. Mine went on my wheeler after about a month, sounds similar to your problems.

How about you put the quad in neutral before you try starting it in gear. OR you could just pull in the clutch.
Step 1: Get someone to push you down the street w/the key turned to "on".
Step 2: Keep it in neutral and hit the start button cuz we've done it before.
"CAUTION" only use if info. above doesnt help.

 

Step 1: Put it in nuetral and start rolling it.
Step 2: Make sure key is on and aim for a tall bridge or cliff AND BAIL
Step 3: Send it in to real TV use the 20,000 they give you to but 3 rappies with spare 1 way bearings.
*Caution* Make sure you good friend Bob didn't bondo your *** to the seat.

 

Check your intake for dog food. Sometimes that makes it not want to start.
