I was thinkin about the pwk 39 mm keihin from HPD and getting the aluminum air box but I see that alot of people have the 38 or 42mm flatslide carb. Anyone have a preferrance or know anything about differences between the two types of carbs?? any insight would be helpful thanks

LOOKING TO GET IT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE WITH THE BEST HANDLING I CAN GET

Most with mod's go with the 39PWK ,I personally have the 39 and love it.I also know alot of people that run the 42 and love it.If your gonna do any mod's either of the two would work just fine .

If I could do it over again, I would go with the PWK. I would say they are almost equal performance wise, but the 38 is hard as heck to get jetted correctly and I have heard the PWK is much easier to get dialed in, I also like the way the PWK looks, it looks like a better built carb. JMO. Oh, and I do recommend the airbox, I am running it with my 38 and I love it. It flows so much better and you don't have to take half the atv apart to work on the carb!!! Gotta go along with what the others suggested. They are all three flat-slide carbs, but the PWK is much crisper. You can get the 42 to perform kinda close, but it requires a leaner cut slide and a richer needle. Never messed with the 38, the might work o.k. on a trail mod. No matter which one you choose, take your time a do some quality jetting runs, starting out with the lower rpm range first.

Nope not yet, I will try to find out this weekend sometime between doing a complete brake job on my truck. I will let it be known when I find out and If it doesn't work, blame it on Modquad... HEHE JK>
