Default Rubicon Brake trick?

I saw somewhere on a forum, can't remember when or where of course, that if the Rubi started getting stuck, or a wheel wasn't pulling then to apply the front brake and you'd get that wheel to grab too. Is this right and if it is, what is the proper technique and when do I use it like that? Isn't the Rubicon's limited slip a little different from other styles anyway because of the torque sensor? That and the D1/D2 argument are the only things taht confuse me about this awesome machine.

that seems like something you would do with an open differential, where the spinning wheel gets power.

Yeah- that's what I'm wondering if it works. The guy was arguing with a Polaris 500 H.O. owner about the 4X4 systems and that came up- of course I didn't print it out....
