My Polaris dealer lost his mechanic to Honda today. Very Sad.

Yes he let his good mechanic go. The way the Sales Lady tells it, he is now making two times at Honda than what he made there, plus better bennies. She says he was a good mechanic with very few come-backs. I liked talking to him too - he knew his stuff. He did a great job modifying my Trail Boss.
The owner just couldn't pay him the $'s, she says, he says. He gave two weeks notice. Now the owner will be running the Busn. and mechanics. I know he'll be too busy to do a good job - he's out of town till next tuesday and no one is in the shop today! I would take my bike to Honda but he doesn't have the Polaris tools to check the clutch alignment like I want done. I'm a Polaris groupie. I asked the Sales Lady and she says he doesn't have those tools at Honda. My Polaris dealer charges $60 an hour, sells the quads, sleds,KTM and all the gear. After the good mechanic did my mod. I gave him $20 cash in hand for a tip - he gave it right back. I wonder if I should travel to another Polaris shop now? The quad is still under warrenty and the new shop might not like that? And what happens when I have to return to my old shop and they find out where I've been going? I'm pissed about all this. I wish they just paid the man market rate for the skill he was providing - Honda did.
