I'm taking my swingarm off of my 86'and I can't get the pivot bolt out. I've got everything else off but this bolt. I put wd-40 all over and spun it with my impact wrench, and hit it with a sledge hammer, but it won't budge. Any help would be great.

Thanks

My 1988 had the same problem. I had to cut the bolt between the frame and the swingarm. Then once the swingarm was off a couple taps of a hammer and a punch, it came out, along with all the needle bearings. The needle bearing cages were frozen inside the swingarm, so I had to mill them out of the swingarm. KEEP THE NEEDLE BEARINGS AND BOLT PACKED WITH PLENTY OF WATER-PROOF GREASE!! Good luck!

I also had to cut mine out with a sawz-all..not fun.. the spacer between the bearings rust on to the bolt and they are tough to get out.. Repack it with grease and take the bolt out least once a year..good luck
