i got hella play in my rear axel
#1
ok so heres the deal i can grab my axel while its all bolted up (except for wheels and tires) and move it back and forth ALOT. so i called the local atv shop and they said i need a carrier kit with all included bearings and seals, then i call another place and they say all i would need is new rear bearings ????? what do i do???

You need 2 bearings and 2 seals. You can get a Pivot Works kit that includes bearings and seals, buy them from a Honda dealer, or search ebaymotors.com
It isn't hard to replace them if you have a few tools and patience. You should use a torch to get the bearings out of the carrier.

yes that lonestar carrier has everything you need just grease it bolt it on and go. I put one on my 300ex and its great, no play and alot less resistance than the old stock worn bearings. Besides if you have that much play in your rear axle you probaly chewed up the stock carrier and are going to have to replace it anyway.

If you got the bucks then go for it. That is a nice carrier. The zerk is nice but I would rather have one that you could get to without removing the carrier from the swingarm to grease.
