Default transmission cooler

what do you guys think of running one of the small transmission cooler's (mini radiator lookin thing all auto parts stores sell) to help cool the DS oil.. as long as i could find somewhere to stick it that did not block airflow to the radiator seems like it might be the ticket.....would be like a huge inline cooler... finding a good spot would be tough......
what ya think?

I have one mounted to the front my radiator already
With that and running 20/50 oil my oil foaming and blow by has been minimal.
Mine is about 3/4 thick 12" long and 2 1/2 tall with the in & out off one side

i installed mine tonight.. i dont run the headlight anymore.. i stuck it in there mounted pretty nice.. so when you look in the headlight hole all you see is aluminum radiator fins... looks pretty cool, i run 20-50w AMSOIL in the summer(115 at the TX dunes) and fins and fan and supercooler, and still usually overheat on hard rides.. so hopefully this ill help.. well see and ill give ya a report... for now my damn batt. is dead and i got to push start the beast... wont be doing that at the sand dunes!

I don't mean to sound dumb but did you just run it off the oil lines or something? How did you make it work with the oil tank?

The cooler should run inline with the smaller return line, coming from the left hand side of the motor.
My cooler was $25 bucks

Thanks jeff,

So this can FREELY flow or be pumped through the cooler on it's own? Did you just re-route the return line from the motor to the cooler in front of the radiator then to the oil tank? I suppose you just used a longer line for this right? Just making sure thanks!!

PUSHINTHELIMIT,
I had to add a longer piece of hose from the cooler up only...then cut the stock hose to fit.
I tried to place the cooler, as too not restrict normal flow
It pumps thtough the cooler just fine,my cooler is just a single U shape with lots of fins
