27inch Agriculture's on a 2000 Kodiak 4x4
#1
Hey, I was looking at my Dennis Kirk catalog the other day and I came across the 27 inch Ag's. I was woundering if anyone has tryed them on a Kodiak or another type of 4-wheeler and if there are any problems. Another thing i want to know is if they pull good in the mud, hard packed, or in the sand. Is there any rubbing problems, do you need a lift kit??? thanks for all your help

I have a riding budding who had them (the "ITP Ag Kit") on a Polaris 500SP. He sold them and went back to the 26x12x12 Vampires he was running because the Ag tires dug very quickly. He would have to get on the gas and stay on it, when entering deep mud. If he was slow to get on the throttle or had to stop for someone, he would dig a hole and sit down . If you have a hard bottom and you can reach it without high centering, they are good. But, if you need some degree of floatation they are not. I have not ridden it, but he said they were pretty rough to him on gravel roads.

The 2K Kodiak is not really designed to have over sized tires. Due to the tight turning radius they will hit the upper a-arms. I have Kenda Bear Claws on mine and they hook up well. They are OEM size but Kenda's 25" are a little higher and wider than DunFlops 25". At full lock in reverse the outter lugs flick the upper A-arm just a little.
I believe the Kodiak not to be a Full Bore UTILITY machine. It's a SPORT UTILITY unit.
