The stock PR maxxis on my pred just push too much in the corner, and I'm looking to up grade the fronts, and probably the rears by winter, casue they might be worn out. Racing Hare Scrambles, I need a good XC tire with 6-ply rating. Just wondering if those who have experience like razr or razr 2 on the fronts for steering and braking? This winter, I might get the razr 2 rears, but then I need new rims casue they only make them for a 9" rim! But some pred's with razr 2's that I've seen, acutally get a 2 wheel syndrome in mx tracks from too much traction and not enough slide! Just looking for some input on what others have tried!

 

i had the razrs on my warrior i did not like the rears they would not slide at all but the fronts i liked they did not roll in the corners

 

My backs slide when I want them too, but coming fast into a tree-laden corner, my fronts can be fully turned and I'm still going straight momentarily, which is usually the difference between hugging a tree and not...and I don't like being a tree hugger!! Okay, everyone started posting and this got buried quick, so I'm just refreshing it in attempt to get a few more opinions please!

 

Take a look at the itp holeshots. They just released the XCRs and they look sweet. I have the XCTs on my scrammy now and love them. Awesome tire with a great amount of traction. I've ridden razors as well, in my opinion go with the holeshots, the razors have too much traction for my liking in some situations. You wont have to buy new rims either, they make them for 10'' rims.

 

On a predator though, the razr's handle great, they slide a lot, sometimes too much, but provide great hook up in the mud. I'm happy with the rears, I'm just thinking about getting the razr fronts with the mohawk for better steering. The Maxxis Pro's are pretty good, but they slide a lot in the off cambers and loose stuff!
