Would like to know how these machines perform in mud and if they are overall better than the other quads, like the honda 450es, and other brands. Also is the problems with oversized tires fixed by larger rims to fit the larger tires better, to keep the tires from hitting the A- arms? your help and comparisons much wanted, to make up my mind which to BUY! Leaning towards the kodiak, just need some more info,,,,,,, THANKS ALL

The shoot out in the Dec issue of Dirt Wheels had a shoot out between the new kodiak and a 450es. The Kodiak won in every category and was much faster. It's a nice quad and goes good in mud. You rarely have to use the brakes because the engine brake is so good.

The only other thing that was a concern, was is the power there. I have heard that the Suzuki and some other guads are great climbers in rough rocky areas. This is due to their low end torgue. Does the Kodiak have good low end torgue, and also what about the over sized tires, are they a problem?
