What is the top speed for a honda big red?

 

I got my 86 up to 49 on a limestone rode at sea level (duh...LA). They will suprise you...i need a head gasket plus lots of stuff on that old wornout POS and it is faster than my 2000 450es

I had my old junk 185 S clocked at 53 with my father's pickup going behind me down a paved road.

 

No telling how fast a 250 Big Red would go if it had one more gear, it never runs out of power, just gearing, I guess they made them like that on purpose for safety. With no speedo it is hard to say, but mine seems like it is going 45-50, just comparing to how that speed feels on my sp700. I had a 84 model 200 Big Red and with the Hi/Lo range 5 speed, it seemed like it had more top end than the 86 250.

 

I have an 83' Honda Big Red with the hi/low 5 speed tranny. I had a motorcycle clock me instead of a car (more acuracy) I got 50 exactly. : ) yay!!

 

I don't know mp/h cause here in canada we have km/h and i have some friend who could could it 109 km/h

 

I dont know if the gearing is the same for a 250sx but i got mine up to 58 on a speedo with the origanal tires.

 

actually the SX is a good Shaft Racer who is actually geared to go faster than the more utility-driven Big Red
