Default Mod my Warrior or buy a Z-400?

I have a 2001 Warrior that I am very happy with on power but not with how it handles or how you sit on it. I occasionally ride on an MX track (not competitavely) and the Warrior isn't the best for that. What are your opinions?

WOW, you will be amazed with the Z400 after riding the Warrior. We call it the Fat Pig, you will know what I mean when you put a few laps in on the Z400. The warrior is a nice machine, but if you are riding tracks I would get something else. The Warrior would be nicer if you wanted to spend less. Modding a Warrior is not highly recommended by me. Its about as fast as its tranny can handle, and definetly as fast as the chassis can handle.

I had the same decision to make, I went for the Z, best thing I have ever bought. The difference between the two is unbelievable in terms of handling and feel. Even though I sold my Warrior to a friend I still keep it at my house. When you ride the Warrior around and then immediately take the Z for a ride it is totally night and day. I believe no reasonable amount of modifications will bring the Warrior anywhere close to the same class JMO.

If you have the money get the z. It has a lot more power stock and way better handling, but with mods it isn't even close the z can be unbeleivably better than a warrior with both of them hopped up. If you don't really want to spend 5000 plus dollars, the warrior is still a good quad and I seen one in dirt wheels bored to a 450 and they gave it great reviews. It might not have been dirtwheels but it was one of the mags. I will try to find it and tell you how much it cost to hop up this warrior.

I know I'm gonna be jumping quite a bit, which is why I need something with more suspension. Are the 2004 models going to have strengthened frames?

2 strokes are out of the question. I want to be able to rely on it to run all day

I hope the frames have been stengthend for 2004. I have defended the z400 on many posts because guys have been flaming them. I always said mine is the only one I can be sure about and mine has never cracked or anything and I'm pretty aggressive on it. But I did see another one with a crack on this forum today, it was a kfx400 and I seen the pictures. It was a pretty bad break and could have been dangerous. I seen some of the guys pictures and he really was getting a lot of air, so I don't know if he cased a jump or bottomed it out or wrecked it or what. I'm not going to defend the 2003 frames anymore because frankly I'm getting a little worried. I just hope mine doesn't crack anytime soon and I would think the 2004's would be fixed. If more of the 03's keep cracking suzuki should recall the friggen things and put a 2004 frame on them.
