Problem with a 300EX Help ME OUT (Been 1 Month)
#1
HI again. For those who haven't read my others past post, Let it explain it to you. I'm having trouble with my 300ex. That problem started about 1 month ago (I haven'T changed anything, it appeared suddently). It's not always doing it. Like today, I've ridden about 4 hours. It did it for about 3/4 of the time. Sometimes it's worse, sometimes it's almost not affecting the performance. It's NEVER the same thing. I don't know how to really explain what's happening. It's NORMALLY not doing before 1/2 Throttle (1/4 for the worst's time). The engine seems to want to stall or sometimes it's doing the same as when it's hitting the reverse rev Limiter . I don't know if I should say it's bogging, cutting or anything else. Maybe I should record the sound on a .WAV file ? Anyway I've changed the spark plug cap and some other things. The first time I thought I fixed it was when one of my friend played with the coil's wire and the spark plug cap. It was then running fine. And YES, BTW my jetting is okay. I've also cleaned and checked the carb a couple of times. The Fuel Filter and every components of the gas Tanks are CLEAN. I've also changed the plug 4 times . STILL NO RESULTS. I can't seem to find it. The worse like I told you was that it's not always doing it

Could be electrical, you mentioned playing with the coil and wire seemed to help, the best thing is to find a good running 300ex and see if you can swap some ignition parts, one at a time. Try first the coil, then a wire, then the cdi unit, to see if the problem leaves yours and goes to the other quad. If none of those parts makes a difference, you may have a stator problem, maybe a loose wire in the ignition side, or bad windings that may require a replacement. First try swapping parts, then go from there.

Thank 95 Wolf . Any others inputs?
I would also think (and like to think) that is it only a wire getting grounded somewere since it'swapping on and off anytime but always on higher RPMS
Damn, on top of that, my starter just passed away
