my friend has a yamaha raptor 660 and the suspension squeaks a lot. What can i do to reduce this problem. Silicone oil???

 

Good ol' motor oil.

 

I use the silicone oil but it only makes it go away for a short time.

DO NOT use WD40. It will eat the bushings!

 

Same squeaks here, used wd-40 for awhile until I was informed of the bushing issue. I now use Yamaha silicone protectant & lubricant, $8.50 for a 11 oz. spray can. Works great, squeaks haven't returned yet, about 20 hours time. Any silicone lubricant will work for you. Good luck.

 

let me guess its the rear suspenion rite..? heres wat you do take a wrech i think its 10mm if i remeber and the top suspension bolt on the rear suspension loosen it a little bit. i recommend wearing leather gloves when doing this cuz that top bolt is TIGHT Trust me almost every rappy is like that. loosen that bolt a little or so till squeak stops and post ur results
