is anyone using an over ride tranny on Nos. How many mackerals for one. My friend is building a drag bike and need more help than I can give him.

 

I heard DSmike has one on his ds. Me personally, I have never seen one on anything other than a Banshee but see no reason why it would not work.

His Black DS has an Over-ride also and its is currently UN BEATEN at LS. his yellow bike has the same engine but the black DS has the Over-ride in it, and it is on average 8-10 quad lenghts faster!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

WOW! I di not know it made that much of a difference! What are the downsides of them, though?

Also, when you say un beaten, do you mean in four strokes? I thought samcoeds maroon bike was faster? Correct me if I am wrong.

 

not to be rude or rub it in in any way but samcoe has never beaten my black DS. he got close the last time i raced him on NOS. he could have been having problems, i don't know. hes a good guy and we love racing each other.


the down side to a override is that they don't last long. you can't let off the throttle until the clutch is pulled in. and on the DS you can only go 1-3 override.

 

I will tell him the scoop. If he still want to go that route. I will holla back. Too rich for my blood.

 

My friend currently has his motor apart for an override. I'm not sure if it will work or not, I guess we will see.

i've been on the go to much...LOL. i will be at whitefeild tomarrow(sunday) with rooster doing some tuning to his new banshee. you should come up. theres alot of 350 banshee there. should be some good racing.
