Default Suspension Question?

This might be a dumb question and I asked it before, but I recently bought a brand new 2002 Scrambler 500 4x4 and the rear suspension feels a little soft. How much should I tighten the rear spring. I weigh abou 300 lbs and am 6'0".

On the Sportsman, two clicks from softest is pretty good. I'd say the same, or maybe three for your Scrambler.

Default Suspension Question?

There are no (CLICKS) or steps on a Scrambler, It has a fox shock with a Treaded insert for adjusting the spring, As BigBad said you get it to were it is comfortable for your type of terrain and riding style, If you are bottoming out you need it stiffer, there really is no set setting for everyone, just what you like.

I am pretty sure turning it to the right stiffens it. If you have it in the air you can also turn the spring itself

Default Suspension Question?

so u want to compress the spring as opposed to letting it stretch out in order to make it stiffer?

Default Suspension Question?

Yes. The more you compress the spring, the harder it will be to compress even more, thus making it stiffer.
