what kind of gas mileage should it get?

 

Both of the 1500's that i have owned only got 11 - 15 mpg. The off road package i had on the one truck only gave me about 11 on the average.

My company truck is a 2000 dodge 1500 4x4 and it gets around 12mpg pulling a trailer it gets about 9-10. But I get all my gas payed for , so my FOOT is allways in it!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] 172,000 miles and still going strong.

11-15 mph (117000 miles on the engine too)

 

well i found a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 w/130,000 miles on it for 7,995 and i was going to possibly trade my 1994 GMC Z-71 in on it my Z-71 has 112,000 on the truck and about 8,000 miles on the new motor....it gets 10 miles per gallon LOL!!!

 

I get 10 in town and 12-14 on the highway with my '00 1500 quad cab 4x4. I was not happy when I first calculated the mileage, but I talked to others and they said that was about right. My buddy gets 12mpg with his 8.0L V10!!! I'm selling mine as soon as we get back from Sandlake and buying a diesel.

 

racer, there was something wrong with your z-71 if you were only getting 10, ive got a long bed extended cab with the 350 and i usually get 16 to 18

 

I have to agree here for sure.


My father-in-has a 96 Suburban 4x4 with the 350cid in it and he still gets 16-18 in it. OH! and it also has 267,000 miles on it!!
