Default YFZ Hillclimbing.....???

Are the YFZ450's worth a damn climbing hills? I was just wondering cause I know a lowered Raptor will climb just about anything.

I would think it would be the same and maybe a bit better because of the weight.

Somebody had posted in a previous thread about the 450 doing very well on Choke Cherry, I think it was stock.

Myself I'm more into woods riding and techincal hills. The raptor I have is still stock suspension and swing arm so is doesn't climb very well if you have to slow down to avoid a tree, rock, etc. The 450 is way more stable and much easier to manage the clutch work to keep the front end down and or break the back tires loose if needed. I have one very techincal hill on my parents land that I will not attempt on the raptor, but have climbed it two out of the three times on the 450. The only other person to try was on a piped banshee with razors and he spunout all three times on dry ground.

If its a smooth hill with no obsticals I would say the raptor and 450 are pretty close.
