another newbie raptor question..
i was at a small track yesterday and it seems to be making a slight clanking noise when i landed off of some small jumps. it even died once on a landing but them started right back up because i was rolling i guess. anyone had a problem like this? a guy i know says the carberator may not be tuned right. i just bought it monday, it is "bone" stock. dont know what the clanking noise was, sounded like it was coming from the rear of the bike on the left side, kinda under the seat. checked everything and it didnt find anything loose. it wasnt real loud, and i only heard a few times. any ideas?

That clanking noise is your chain slapping on your chain roller or whatever your Raptor guys call it. The chain gets looser under deceleration and may slap on something. Check you chain slack (when you are sitting on the quad).
The thing about stalling when you landed a jump is probably something not perfect in your carb (which is normal coming from yamaha ).
I'd say probably your float levels are off...but I don't know Raptors...could be anything
