That I let you all know about what happend to our Cannondales. First off they were runnin great better than ever than it started to go downhill from there. We just got back from dragin in the dunes when I noticed a crack on one of the dales frame[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]. I was pissed that bike was never jumped over 5 ft and the damn frame cracks. It cracked on both sides all the way through the bottem frame brace that holds the battery ect. We later took it off and then saw how much that it was a MAJOR stress point. We took it to the dealer and he said he would take care of it but he did S***! It sait there 4 3 weeks even with me calling every day. NOTHING ever happend, so I said screw it and went and picked it up right out thier shop. We took the frame piece to Thunder Alley and he welded it and gusseted it . Looked good until a month of so later it cracked IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!!! I was relly mad about this so now and took it tot the dealer and had him look at it and we are going to get that piece of the frame from thier parts bike and throw the other piece of crap...

Now to the good part[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img], Well about a month after this all we were racing in pismo (night riding) on the forth of july when I heard a knock in the motor of my bike, I was once again not very pleased to say the least. So i putted her back to camp and the noise got a little worse. It sounded like the valves at first but we dont know for sure. I took it to my dealer the day after we got back and told them the problem and they said they would drop the motot and take care of it. Well after a couple of days calling and not geting anything they finily called today and said that thier is a knocking sound (well no s*** thats what i brought it in for) and they were SCEARD TO TAKE IT APPART when i heard this I was like WTF this is B***S***!! So after talkin to him for a while i talked him into him giving me the bran new motor with 0 hours on it in a trade. I was a little relived after that but am still not sure if the motor deal is 100% but I hope though..

When did this happen? I find it hard to believe any dealer would still be doing warranty work or making deals for free engines 6 months after Cannondale folded. Of course I havent had been to a dealer since I bought mine. Did you have the stud update done before it started knocking? Did you have the brace update done to the front engine mount? How many hours are on the frame? Thanks.

 

I witnessed a cannondale "suck a valve" while flattracking at a local track. That really sucks about your frame. I hope the problems you have don't turn out to be widespread. Cannondale prices are already so low, that would suck if dealers started giving them away with every Purchase over a $100 dollars[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

It happend on the night of the 4th while I was racing[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] . Well the Dealer SAID that the stud update was done but it was obvously not after this [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img], And about the frame brace they had some made and put them on... Crappy update I suppose. And about the motor I might have to pay a couple hundred bucks for it but its still cheap, I might buy my origional motor back and send it to south bay or something...
