I'm thinking the 22" tires that are currently on my Mojave are a little too tall. I wanna go down in size to, I think a 20". I have a friend who's got a 250X with 18" rears on it, his bike seems to do OK, but I'm thinking those 18" rears might be a little small. But what about the thought of a different countershaft sprocket too? I could go up to a 13, or 14 if it would fit, and then change all of that. So anyhow, whats everyone else run and hows it work?

I have a 99 mojave with Dg pipe and dynojet kit i also have 20 inchs tires on the rear stock rims. After putting the tires on the rear i have noticed that 1st gear is really quick. So i was going to go up one tooth on the countershaft. If that does not fit i will have to go one tooth down on the rear. I have done this on some bikes and noticed a faster longer 1st gear. I had 18" turf tammers on a blaster and you had to start in 2nd because if felt like there was no 1st. Then i went up 1 or 2 teeth on the front counter shaft. That fixed the 1-2 gear problem hpe this helps

I have 20's on my bike with 13 front sprocket. This combo worked very nicely for me.

In regards to the 14 front, I was told they don't make one for the Mojave and I doubt it would fit anyway. You can always decrease the rear sprocket size, I think you can get between 40-44, but I may be wrong.

I have 20inch rears on both of my Mojaves. I really like em. I went to a 41 tooth rear sproket on the piped one and went to a 13 front and 41 rear on the modied one. The only make a 12-13 front and a 41-44 rear.

Thanks for your input, it sounds like 20's will be perfect with a 13 tooth front sprocket. If anyone ever wants to know the secret of where to buy Mojave oil filters, for the price of $1.62/each.... You can contact me if you loose this link:

Go there, buy 4 for the price of one, and enjoy!
