Default Putting Toomey TR6's on by myself? Is it worth the risk or should I just pay the $170 to get it done?

Well, I just got the Toomey Tr6's and are very excited about getting them on my banshee. I know how to put the Pipes on..however I have never messed with putting the jets into the carbs. The yamaha dealer I got the pipes from ..said its 170 to install everything..or if I just have them do the jets ..its 90 bucks.

What do you think? Should I attempt to do this on my own?

Is it hard to do...and is it easy to mess it up?

thanks for any help you can contribute

you can do it. If the dealer wants almost 200 bucks why don't you buy the service manual with the money you would have saved. The banshee guru's on here can tell you what jet size to start with.

well actually, the toomeys comes with jets already. I was just gonna put those on. However...I know messing with the carbs is crucial to the way the banshee runs. I just dont wanna mess anything up.

I hope this doesn't post again... anyway I'll drive up there and do it for $100, I'll drive up for free, bring my own tools and have it done within 1-2 hours.

Advance- Do it your self and then go ride with a large group of banshees. Be nice and i am sure one of them will tell you if you did it wrong or need to do something else. They will probably even help you there on the spot.

I put mine on in about an hour the directions that come with the TR6 Kit are very descriptive. Check out my site for video of them running also in the picture section there are pics of it installed

Good luck

It came with #280 and #270 jets. Im confused as to which one Im suppost to use. 14 mins..I would love to take your advice..however I am just scared of doing..and not getting the quad to run properly. Then I wont be able to go riding....and prolly pay double to get it installed. Hopefully Dunepilot can give me a lesson and let me come over and he can help me out .

Im so excited to get it done...I just read the WHOLE instruction booklet...all though Im a bit more confident..Im still confused on what to do.

Thanks for all your help guys..I really appreciate it
