Default tire sealant

What's the best tire sealant out there. I've used slime for three years but it is starting to wear out in my quad. Green stuff comes out of the holes but they still go flat. A dealer told me that slime was water based and it will rust the rims. Since I have never broke a tire down yet I don't know, has any had any problem with this? He sold another brand that he said oil based and did not break down or rust rims.

If the holes bigger than 1/4 inch, the slime won't work. It says that on the label, I didn't listen and tried sealing a hole that was about 1/4 inch, and low and behold, it came out of the hole and didn't hold air. You're better off plugging the tire, as long as it's not on the sidewall.

The green stuff never worked for me. I now run fix-a-flat in all my tires all the time. I have never had a tire so flat (even with 50 Cholla cactus thorns in it) that I couldn't ride it home. There are pros and cons to doing this, and rim corrosion is one of the cons. And, no 50 mile walks home in the desert is one of the pros!!!

I remember at one time Highlifter had a tire sealant product. I heard from some people it was really good (but expensive). You may want to check their site (if they have one) and see what they offer.
