last saturday i was working on my LT and i was useing gas to clean my carb, but i spilt a tinny bit , probbly 1/4 of a cup, so i moved everything out of the way, incuding the bucket of gas i was using, i moved it about 10ft away from the spill. then being stupid i took a match lit it and threw it on the spill, the flames couldnt have been higher then my nee. then sudenly the bucket of gas lites up with no flames touching it . still the flames in that werent very high or hot. so i opened my garage door to pul it out side. as i pulled it out the bucket the melts and gives and there was at least 3 liters of gas in it and it spead so fast. now im stuck in the middle of it all allmost like a circle.all i could think of was "oh sh*t my garage, oh sh*t my quad, and oh sh*t my ski-doo. soo i run as fast as i can out of there and slip in the fire, now imagine 3 liters of gas catching on fire, and the air because of the fumes. i wasnt goin to give up so get out of there and get a fire extingusure and put it out. then my parents call hte fire dept. it took them 15 mins to get here and its a really small town. it took the ambulance 25 mind to get here, i was p*ssed. wut if it had of been worse. i would be dead. but im ok now, my quad and sled never got touched thank god.

15 minutes is good, be sure to call them ahead of time when you next work on your quad.

were'nt u the same guy i told to remember to put gas in his quad lol that happened to my friend also xcept his quad BLEW UP!!!! ( full tank of gas) ( over 4 gal's)

You should invest in some fire extinguishers…also try using the ones you can strap to your back…j/k…close call… THINK!!! Yeah could have been much worse…

 

yea it was pretty stupid, thats wut happens when ur not thinking about wut ur doin, iv dun it before and it just gets rid of the small spill but this time things didnt go as i planed
