Default What ATV to get

I need some advice, I am a female looking to buy a used ATV, I really want to get a banshee, but have heard that they require a lot of maintance, also they get hot quick. I don't know much about working on them. I just need something I can get on and go, but also want something fast, I learned how to ride on a shee, and love it
Any suggestions on what to get, please let me know!!!!

It all depends...you wanting a two-stroke or a four-stroke?

For your first bike I would say get a four stroke, especially if you dont know much about working on them. A 400ex would make a good first bike, and you can find good deals on them used.

Its kinda a coin toss with the 2-strokes..... Some are great and just need to be rebuilt a couple years some are constant maintace So if you like the shee get it and prepare for the worst

I would agree that if you want a nice starter sport bike, the 400EX is a great start. Plus they are plentiful, so not too pricey used. Another option would be the Suzuki/Kawi/Artic Cat 400 that has proven to be a very good all around bike. I prefer 4 strokes because I can't afford to maintain a 2 stroke, and mixing gas and not being able to share gas with all your pals on 4 strokes stinks. (some guys are gonna eat me alive for this but.... ) A decent CHEAP starter bike would be a Warrior - they are abound for 2k-2500 and hard to hurt. Let us know what you decide

I agree with any of the 400's...all pretty decent quads are quick enough...

Thanks for the advise, I will probably stick to like a honda 400, or something of that sort, that is fast, but still good at trails and dunes, Then later when I get a man who knows how to work on them for me, I'll have to go all out and buy me the Banshee, or slight chance I just might do that now, still haven't made up my mind. Thanks.

I think you would be happy with any of the forementioned 400's. They are all quick and good handling machines which are fun to ride in a variety of conditions. Great all around bikes. Good luck.
