Default Internet purchase of Honda

I am looking to purchase a 2004 honda at, I see some are getting these for $1000. off msrp. Out here in oregon they stick to msrp, yikes. They seem to have a problem with shipping so I assumed a limited power of attorney then ship would work. Anybody have a good internet dealer to recommend

Sorry if I am telling you something you already know, but it looks like there are a ton of internet scams on ATVs right now. It's very smart of you to be inquiring here for reputable dealers. I just inquired about two ads on traderonline.com that I think are both turning out to be hoaxes ("Send me the money via Western Union and then my agent will bring you the ATV"). The ads seemed to be legit - one even had a photo of an atv taken at a dealer - but things just didn't add up. (Like the dealer sign in the background was from a SD dealer and this guy was supposedly in ME or MD).

From what I've read on here, there seem to be a lot of eBay scams too. They are even highjacking legitimate sellers' IDs so you can't even trust feedback anymore.

If you're like me, you're a bit cautious to begin with and would be very hesitant to do any deal where you send the money sight unseen for such a big purchase, but I figured there's no harm in telling you something you might already know, as opposed to not saying it and letting these jerks get away with this crap.

Again, sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know...

There are also alot of scams on atvtraderonline.com. Just look for the really cheap prices.

I have been leary but $1000. is a chunk of change. I was looking at an eiger but saw on another forum there were tranny issues with the 500 vinson so the suzuki is out. The rancher AT is $6200 OTD here. I went and finally looked at polaris 500HO camo for $6500. Looks and rides ok but my price just keeps cimbing. I'm totally lost now. Don't know bout polaris reliability, seems ok now from what I read. Honda is excelent but you get more features for the $$ with another bike. Nobody makes the perfect ride for 5000.

thanks for the info.
