i have a 03 raptor with trinity stage IV pipe and jetted and a 14 tooth sprocket my budddy has a
ds 650 baja with a power core4 jetted who will have it on top end

When my Raptor had just a Curtis Sparks pipe jet kit and a 14/40 gear I had ran a couple of DS's with pipes and other motor work internally in 400.ft and did not have them outrun me. If we were running a longer distance they might have come back on me but from what I saw they would have had a difficult time. It was 2 to 3 bikes difference between us in 400ft. I hope nobody takes this personally that is not intended but this was my experiences with the Raptor and DS's but the only way you will know jaws03 is to run him; then you will know were you stand. ahmen to that... rider is 75%+ of who wins. when you can take an almost stock, or stock bike and beat bikes that are pretty modded you have room to brag a little bit. It is very hard to find a person who can ride a raptor to its full potential also. Most people that own them are scared of them. that's one of the main reasons that the DS guys run off and leave them most of the time.

 

What is there to be scared of on a Raptor, other than tipping over, blowing off a carb boot or having the tranny go out??
