Predator 90 oil injection
#1
I would like to know how much injection oil Pred 90 should be using. My son has gone thru 2 tanks of gas and the fluid level has hardly changed.( down about 1/4" from first original fill-up) Is this normal for this type of injection system? Do most of you still use a bit of pre-mix in the gas tank to be safe? After warranty is out I was thinking of diconnecting injection system and using pre-mix. Can this conversion be made easily?

yes that is normal oil usage. no need to add premix with the oil injection working. the oil injector is richer than what you would run if you took the injection unit off and premixed the gas 32 to 1. it is simple to disable the injection unit. take the tank off, plug the line that goes to the carb. plug the line that goes from the tank to the injection unit. also you can pull the injection unit from the front of the engine. take the plastic gear off from it and reinstall the unit so it can act as its own block off plate. you can also buy a single throttle cable that only goes to the carb. the one you have now should y off and one end go to the carb and the other to the injector.
