i'm wanting and going to do something more to my scrammy, but who would you use?? i'v thought about going with aaen and get their cam and porting, and later getting the carb, OR go with 4 stroke tech, and get their big bore stroker 600 kit now and then get the port/flow work later?? what would you do??

 

H@ll, if you're gonna do that, mine as well go with the 628 kit. When I talked to Mickey at 4ST, he said the kit ran around $1000, with the core exchanges. I think it included valve work too. Give him a call. The 42mm carb is suppose to be a pian in the butt to tune, that is why HSP supposedly stopped carrying it. Try the HPD air boz/carb mod. I just installed mine and am going to try it out this Saturday. They claim 2 HP. If you do get the 600 or the 628 kit I would be very interested to hear your take on it and see how it performs. The same with the AAEN gear. I am at the point where I will have to start going into the motor to get more out of it. Keep us informed on your decision

 

go with aaen. i ported me trail boss 330 head and then bored it .020 over. with other pies clutches and all, it hits 68. i am now working to get the .040 over... hehe...(every engine mod is aaen)

Go with the 628cc kit from Mickey Dunlap, its a race proven set-up. I would get it all done at once instead of pulling the head off again.

 

yeah, i put an epi clutch in it with a aaen sec. spring. that **** costed me 175 and all it seemed to do is make it harder to put in drive. i did not mention that cuz we were talkin bout engine porting. not transmission. sorry for the mix up.

 

Hey DNSHEE if you go with the 628 kit are you gonna do it or have a shop do all that cause im like bigbadscrambler im at that point on mine thats all thats left but lets put it mildly i dont have the tools or knowledge to do it myself so was curious how much would cost to have someone else do it
