Default best place to mount a gps on a DS

i've got a garmin gps that i'm making a mount for but am still sorting out where exactly would be a good place for it, the handlebars is one option but i don't like it being so exposed up there, so far my best idea is on the back of the gas tank cover, so u just look down if yer sitting? i dunno, so where do u have all your's mounted at?

I have my E-trex mounted on my handle bars. It is exposed, but have yet to have a problem. The gas tank might be a little low and require you to take your eyes off of the terrain. Check out my web page for pictures of my gps mount

Mounted my Garmin IIIplus on the handle bars also using a ram mount. I would recommend you get
your GPS what they call hardened. This will eliminate any vibration problems (GPS shutting off).
I also setup a 12V DC outlet that works great. Pictures

I made a mount that uses the mirror bolt hole on the left side handlebar.
