My buddies has 28" Outlaws on his lifted Cat 500. They are an awesome mud tire. Now they're available in a radial version, also..

I love my Mud Lites also, but they are not nearly as aggressive as what he is asking about. They are a compromise to save weight and cost.

The mudlites are more of an all-terrain tpye tire. There are smoe tires out there that are made for 1 thing and 1 thing only...that MUD those tires would be some like Outlaws, Vampires, Bi-claws, tri-claws, Mudzillas. Out of those, it would be the Vampires or Outlaws. I have heard a lot of people like the outlaws better

outlaws are good only if you have a large bike {500 or better}, on a small bike they are to heavy ,but i have had outlaws on a 1995 foreman good tire but not as good as you would think,. but you got to have the power to spin the tire in the mud to clean the tire so they can grip. The key to outlaws is never let the back tire stink.

Default wHATS IS THE ALL TIME MUD TIRE

Hey guys, I don't post very often unless I have something usefull to add. I ride mud and ONLY mud.
I have been riding mud here in Texas and LA for about 10 years competetively. I have seen just about every tire perform on every bike made in just about every type of mud there is. I just wanted to throw my two cents in on this thread. Mud is a tricky ride. How well a tire performs has an awfull lot to do with rider ability just like every other type of riding. I have seen holeshots on a 400ex beat a rancher in soupy clay. The difference was the rancher rider had no idea how to ride mud. Now if you want to talk just plain tires and leave all other factors out, then I will give you my top 3:

1: Outlaws
2: ITP 589 MS
3. Vampires

I know what you are thinking... if the outlaws are the best then why are you spinning 589s? Simple...money. I have had Outlaws on every bike I have ever owned...and I replaced them often. Don't get me wrong, they are an awesome tire, but they tend to wear quicker than I like for my riding style. They are also a pretty heavy mud tire as they go. I chose the ITP 589s because they are LIGHT, less expensive and are a harder material and wear less for the way I ride. I do have a set of Outlaws in the garage on Douglas rims that I slap on for the competitions. Vampires and Outlaws are probably known as the two top all time mud tires in the "mudding circle". They both are great in mud, but are rough as hell on hardpack. I like the 589s as a better all around mud tire (if there is such a thing) because they pull just as good as Vampires if not better and ride smoother than the Outlaws. 589s are very tough 6 ply tires and will handle anything that you can throw at them. (that is if you know how to ride mud correctly)

My 2 cents. or was that 3?

Muddy
