Default wHATS IS THE ALL TIME MUD TIRE

It all depends on what type of mud you are riding. If we are taking about the deep nasty black goo that doesn't have a hard bottom, then I would suggest keeping it in Low gear, put your right knee on your seat and keep the left foot on the floor. Keep your RPMs up about 3/4 to that if you need more you have it. DON'T STOP once you get going. Keep all your weight back over the left rear tire and slowly bounce your wieght up and down forcing the back left tire to grip as your weight comes down. Each time you come down you gain traction and when your weight comes up your tires clean. Keep the front end up so that the front tires stay up and don't bog. They will create ruts that clean the way for the back. They also create ruts that get you high centered so that is why you keep all of your weight on one sideand to the rear. Never let off the throttle. When your back left tire begins to bog and you loose momentum, then put your right leg on the right floorboard and your left leg on the seat. Switch your weight over to the right rear and start slowly bouncing to gain traction on the right side. This whole time you have to keep the throttle at 3/4 unless you feel like you need more power, and you must lean back a bit to keep the front end up. This technique is used in every competition I have ever seen in mud/water deeper than the racks and it has proven well for me. If you ever get in this deep or deeper, this is the way to go.

Since I only recently got my 4x4 I've just started to ride with some friends who like a lot of mud. This is their usual technique.

1) Ride into the mud until you're buried

2) Winch out (sometimes this requires 2 or 3 winches)

3) Laugh at each other's misery

4) Look for the next mudhole

The guy I mentioned above with the 28" Outlaws, says there fine on hard pack once your moving 10mph or so. He said the ride smooths right out.

A friend of mine had some outlaws on his lifted 300 4x4 Cat and he went threw everything just about,so in my opinion they are the best mud tire made.
