I have received a price of $4700 for a '99 grizzly. I am really considering this machine for the price. It has super swamper tires and has 1700 miles on it. I think this is a good deal. Could some of you tell me what you think about the deal and also tell me some of the problems that you have encountered w/ the '99 Grizzly so I can ask about it when i talk to the owner. As far as problems w/ the belt and drive train. What are some other problems that I should look forthat the grizzly has been known for having.

I bought my 99 grizz from Canada in Aug of last year for $6000 which was delivered to my door in the states. They wanted $7200 at my local dealer. I have 600 km and have not missed a beat. 1999 is a good year with many changes over 1998. It seems like a good price for a used machine. Good luck

99 Grizzly

... and a whole lot of extras....

I would definitely check the back brakes. Check some of the electrical connections to see if they are corroded or falling apart. My Grizzly has 1200 miles on it and it's getting tired! Any 1999 four wheeler with 1700 miles and mud tires on it has probably been ridden pretty hard. (but it also might have been very well maintained.) I'm starting to have some electrical problems. I just went through and cleaned and greased (dielectric) all my connections. Some of them would just fall apart when you unplugged them but most just needed cleaning. Also check the steering to see if the bushings and bearings are all worn out. Front wheel bearings would be something else to check. Wobble the front wheel back and forth to see if there is excessive play. These are just all the things I've recently had to replace on mine. If you're mechanically inclined, none of this is all that expensive for just parts, just something to be aware of. I bought my Grizz when the 99's first hit the showroom and my out the door price with 3yr worthless warranty was $7400. Add tires and other accessories and your over $8000 in no time. So....$4700 sounds very reasonable.

Shop around, there is no excuse for paying over $6200 for a new Grizzly.
