I ordered amsoil 100:1 premix oil and was wondering what ratio everyone mixes it at, I was thinking 60:1 since my motor is brand new. Also what is the best block off kit?

 

if its new...and u plan to ride it at high rpms. never go with 60:1 way too lean....probly thinken 32:1 or mabey 40:1 the 100:1 mixtures are basically for engines that only idle... i use 32:1 on my 98 rm125.

 

I use 40:1 and that was recommended to me by Darrell from HPD.
He says they run all there quads at 40:1

 

I went with the Oil block off and had a bunch of the Amsoil Oil injector oil left over and used it at 50:1 with great results. This ratio is what they recommend for Pre-mix. I think it's cheaper than the pre-mix oils.

 

hpd recommends 100:1 on the trail mods and 80:1 on the race mods. Just use one of the 100:1 bottles to 5 gallons of gas, I've used that for yeasrs on my 400 sport trail mod with no problems.

 

From the first day I blocked off the oil injection and have run 100:1 in my wifes 400 4x4 scrambler and both of my kids 90 scrambers. 2 years and no problems at all.

 

You guys that said 32:1 and 40:1 have no idea how good this stuff is, I'm breaking the motor in with 50:1 and then I'm going up to 80:1 after the first tank. It hardly even smokes with it being that rich. Amsoil is awesome, it burns so clean it's hard to tell how to tune it by looking at the spark plug.

 

Mine were broke in with 100:1, none of them have ever had oil from the injectors. Always pre-mix 100:1.

 

I run mine @ 50:1 with the Amsoil Series 2000 50:1 mix...

 

50 to 1 is lean 80 to one is a lot leaner what are you talking about running rich?
