Default new kodiak 450!!! now what should i get for it??

I just decided on the kodiak 450 and pull it into my drive way a couple of hours ago.

Now what kind of toys are there for this thing? I'm new to ATVs, any good websites to go check out?

You didn't go wrong on your purchase, but I'm not sure about the toys yet. I've had my 450 for about four months now, and can't find anything bad to say about it. I ride in the Appalachian mountains in WV and I haven't found anywhere that someone can go that I can't. I have found some places that I can go that others won't dare.

I have had my 450 for a month and haven't had any problems. I have a warn 2500 winch but that is all for addons right now still looking for more addons but can't decide on any yet. BTW great purchase!

Be careful on your Kodiak's. I know the old saying this thing will climb trees is overused, but believe me these will. I bounced off of a rock tonight and the left front literally climbed a tree. I flipped straight back. Luckily, I had a cooler on both front and back. They kept it from doing real damage to me. A broken nose, large goose egg on my head, and a few stiches on my lip and I'm fine- and lucky. The Kodiak is a great machine, but it's not invincible.

Here are a few mods that I feel are useful and practical. First off a winch........most important investment you can get. If you are in a dusty area the a wind shield is a good idea. And the last mod I can suggest is either a rear seat if you take passenger or some kind of storage box to keep tire plugs and rope and stuff.

Get some bigger tires (blackwaters, bearclaws vampires etc.). they will slow down your top speed but make up for it in the nasty stuff

first things first get a winch then get some better tires if you are going to ride in any mud holes the stockers will leave you in it most of the time.

I got a new blue 03 Kodiak 450. I got an Armadillo skid plate to replace the garbage stock one and a rear bumper. Of course it came with a Warn 2500. This machine is amazing. I like pulling out the Formans the most with it.
