Pickup My 04 Baha X Tomorrow
#1
I've been holding off for the 04 model since April. I'd have purchased an 03 Baha if Bombardier didn't post the 04 DS model engineering changes on their website so early. I'm very pleased with the lower pricing of the 04 models. I wouldn't be surprised if they lowered their prices to help sales. Purchased in MI for $6755.20 OTD.
If anyone has any advice regardin the breakin period and what I should do, I'd appreciate it. Of course, I'll be reading the manual and follow the instructions to a T. It's so critical to make sure this high ticket machine is broke in properly. I wont have the cash to buy another one of these for a long time.

Welcome to the fabulous world of the greatest four wheeler ever given to the lesser people like us. All kidding aside you will love your machine and the people on this forum are very good at helping people with any problem or question that might arise. Break in, The only thing not to do is run it at WOT for an extended period of time. Lots of acceleration, and don't let it sit and idle for a long time. Make sure it is warmed up before running it hard also. Just from experience with my '03 is to disobey the manual and grease the a-arms and swingarm pivot a lot. I do mine before every ride. I had to replace the a-arm bushings after just 40 hrs. They are cheap, but not as cheap as grease. I also just tore my carrier out to grease it and I would suggest that you do so at 75-100hrs and not wait till 125hrs. like me. You can also do a search here on the forums and find more info about break in and common problems than you can possibly read before tomorrow. Enjoy your new ride and I hope this helps.

BajaIowa: When you write "not to run it at WOT", what does WOT mean? Newbie alert... I was instructed by the dealer to use synthetic grease, your thoughts?
Thanks!

He means, wide open throttle.
Great choice in quads. Excellerate through the gears and decellerate letting the motor do the decelleration not the brakes. Enjoy.
Edited. LOL. That was my break in tip for you.
