what two stroke oil for scrambler
#1
Okay guys i just got off sea-doo.net, and there is an article on the oils to use with the rotax motors. They claim you have to use an api-tc oil and not the tcw3. What one does polaris recomend with the 400cc two stroke. I have been using tcw3 for years now on the sea doos and havent had any problems. I also have been running the penzoil tcw3 synthetic in my scrambler. Now dont say polaris oil. too much money.

I use pure polaris premium gold 2 cycle oil. A little on the expensive side, but cheaper than having a lesser oil burn up a motor. Get at your Polaris dealer, around 9 bucks a quart.

Anyone who thinks the Polaris synthetic is any different than other synthetics can feel free to waste their money at the dealer. Your Pennzoil synthetic is fine, as is the other guys Klotz, as is my Amsoil. You buy Polaris oil, you're paying for the name on the bottle and nothing else. What? Do think Polaris makes their own oil??

Polaris blue non-synthetic. Some dealers even sell it in bulk. Been running almost triple the designed hp out of a '99 400, went just went through it for preventative maint....everything was in perfect shape.

I've used Amsoil synthetic for about a year and have had great luck with it. I've done away with the oil injection and have been pre-mixing the injection oil with no problems. It even says it on the bottle to mix it 50:1. Boy this oil burns clean with very little smoke.
