A-arms cant be anodized as far as I know, they arent aluminum but some kind of molysteel. You can have them plated though probably.

PC is the best, cheapest option. Poweder coating is very strong

right, anodizing is only for aluminum. Chrome/powdercoating is best suited for steel or moly

I thought the upper a-arm is aluminum and the lower steel or some kind of moly.
To anodize the upper you'd need to remove the nonremovable ball joint, the acid would eat up the steel parts.

I believe only on 2001 raptor is the upper aluminum.

I just checked an 02 and an 03 in the garage and their both aluminum uppers. I think the 01s had aluminum sub frames and the 02s and up are steel, but I'm not sure of that.

I'd powdercoat. Your shop will probably charge you an extra set-up fee for anodizing and powdercoating. They'll both scratch. I used to have all my aluminum powdercoated black and was thinking the other day about doing the douglas wheels I use for my sand tires. I like the "thick" powdercoat finish and it looks killer when cleaned.

What ever you do, stay away from chrome - yuck!

Just my .02 though.
