Oil Pump Adjustment On a Scrambler ;1995 400 4x4
#1
Ok first off i had broke the Spring 1995 scrambler 400 on the oil pump lever where the cable goes to break so i took the arm off to get the spring out and i went and got a new new spring and arm for {43 bucks} but the oil adjustment screw that the arm goes on well i think i twisted it a couple time not know what i was doing, and i went to put the spring on and it all went on easy put everything on thionking i was done, then i cranked it idled fine smoked a lil then i push the gas down and it does go anywhere real fast and it smokes a butt load, and before i broek this spring it ran great. but my Question is how do i adjust the oil pump... if anyone knows where i can look or if you know anything about this please write back i hate to bring it to the polaris dealer and give him a 100 or 2. i'm only 18 and money isn't the best of things for me right now. so.

I would suggest getting oil injection block off kit. cheaper than buying more parts for your pump and you won't have to worry about it messing up again. you can get one from hpd, rcr, hotseat.

Look very closely on the arm and the pump housing, there should be lines on both of them. One line should line up when the engine is at idle and the other should line up at full throttle. The lines are hard to see, but trust me, they are there.
