Default New Polaris 50??????

just check out the new 50 on there web site. here are some thoughts it is small not the same size as the 90 it is the same size as the mini cobra(alpha sport) but with a wider wheel base. Don't know nothing about the engine or where it was made. retail $1,700. I do like the fact that is is a true 50 not a 50 in a 90 frame. like what everybody else is doing. It also has adjustable floor boards to grow as your child grows.

Our little 50 will go with some mods to it.. I clocked it at 33mph before I chickened out on a flat street. I regeared it for a little more power, and now it tops out at 26mph, but get there pretty quick. Check out the link in my signature for some videos.

I stopped by our local Polaris dealer, and they didn't even know there was a new 50, let alone have one to see... sounds like a cool deal and we may have our smallest one on a quad sooner than we had planned with it being a smaller frame, I guess it'll be harder to get a pipe for it, other mods should be good for it though... but it may be a good one for the ATVA 50cc Stock class since it's lighter (they'd need to put a real pipe on it from teh factory, though).

I personally think getting a 50 is a waste of money. They grow out of it too fast and unless you have money to burn, you should get the 90 and choke it for the littlier ones. We have an 11, 6, and 5 year olds that all drive it (with all safety gear and close supervision) and the speed is regualted for the little ones.

I just htink that the 90 has a longer usage life than a 50.
