This has nothing to do with quads, and it happened a long time ago(a week or 2) but I was just curious, what does it do? how many of you got hit by it? how much was it to fix if you did get hit by it? I didnt get it so i dont know.I know windows update fixes it though.

 

I got that one a while back that disables you whol computer, took me a good week to get back on.
What a nightmare.

ummmm the thing that i saw was a worm got into some peoples e-mail a sent messages with itself inside then i believe it shut down your comp...... Thank god for firewalls and Nortons and mailwasher [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Chet you may need to re add the max mtu and recieve window settings and such. When I went to my friends house to fix his all those were deleted. That means if you have cable your not using it to its potential. Im glad I have win 98 though. I was immune [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

i got it a while back. it didnt bother me too much, if i stayed offline it wouldnt do anything. if i got online sometimes it would turn my comp off right then, other times it would stay on for hours. it did seem to turn off a lot any time i tried to do a virus scan and get rid of the damn thing though. in the end it didnt cost me a dime to fix it, a guy down at work found a cure for it at norton's website, i had to have the program downloaded onto a cd from work and take it home and do it offline. it worked like a charm. well.. kinda. it worked and then i had to get online to "patch" my system so i wasnt going to get it again but i got it again the second i got online. thank god i have DSL, it was fast enough to download the updates and stuff before it turned off, i just turned it back on and did the norton thingy again and i havent had any problems since.

 

i got it. it sucked with out a computer for 3 days but i fixed it for free my mom got a floppy disk i only lost 3 files some people lost all there memory. stupid computer geek
