Another Radial Tire Contender?
#1
Yesterday, on ATV Television, Doug Meyers made mention of a new Radial Tire from Carlisle. I understand that they call it the "XTR". Anyone heard much of it? Their website ( http://www.carlisletire.com ) is REALLY lame
(listing products with that thoroughly bug-ridden pdf format and such).
Moo,

I started a radial tire thread in the tire section here and at a few other sites.
I want to know about all the new radials that are coming before I jump on a new set.
Here is a link to a pic of the XTR. Notice how it resembles the ATR, but has the different center lugs.
I don't like the fact that the fronts are only 4 ply.
"The fronts are 4 ply, 6.5 inch wide, and 14.7lbs. The rears are 6 ply, 8 inches wide and 19.7lbs. They only come as 25 inchers. The raised center lugs make me wonder how they handle and bite."
The ATR's are 15lb and 21lb.
