TPI Valve placement
#1
I received a TPI Valve with my MBRP pipes today and I'm wondering what the best location for the TPI Valve would be? The TPI Valve is 2" square device with a filter. You can adjust the amount of air that gets let in so you can lean it or richen it. Would placing it over the two carb holes be good? Or near the front of the air box?

Click my pics, I put a pair of them right on top. That way the air is forced to distribute more evenly over the top of the filter instead of just pounding one area with filth. You'll know if you have it open too much, you'll be lean and the fan will kick on more frequently. Whats cool about the top of the airbox is you can get to them pretty easy. Good luck...P.S. I used a roto-zip to make my holes worked well other than the mess

Looks like an easy mod, I'll place it right in the middle of the air filter area tomorrow. I'll use my dremel, should work well. I received two foam filters, a red and a black. I see you used black. Is the red one different? If so how? It didn't say on the instructions about the filters. Thanks for the help guys.

I installed two in mine. One on the left side and the other in the rear. I read somewhere that putting them in the top would create turbulance. I'm not sure if I buy into that, but I put them in the side anyway. It seems to work well. I leave the one in the side open and I can adjust the one in the rear without removing the plastic.
