scrambler 500 4x4 or trailblazer 400?

the 400 has a proven reliable 2 stroke motor that has been around for a while. It is easier and cheaper to mod than the 500 and is capable of putting out over 85HP, if that is what you are looking for. It may require a little more maintance in the long run, because of being a 2 stroke. The 500 scram is a great all around quad. It doesn't exceed in 1 particular area, but it holds it own in every situation. It does things a sprt quad cant and it does things that a ute can't. Its the best of both worlds. The 500 HO motor is a great motor. It too has benn around for a while and is Polaris's best selling 4 stroke motor. They put that thing in everything from the scram to the sportsman to the Ranger and so on. The 4x4 is a great feature but unless you ride where you need it, then the 400 may be a better choice. Both of them are great hill-climber cuz they are always in the right gear. The automatic is easy to tune and easy to use. Both are great trail machines with a nice suspension and good stability. You can t go wrong with either one.

he's right i go through alot of mud with my 400 i love it it's a faster than scambler only because it is two stroke and it weighs 100 pound less the name on the 400 huindred says it all because it definatly blazes through the trails but if you like to ride in deep snow or mud i'd perfer the scambler because of the 4x4 and iam not quite sure about his but can the 500 be switched to 2x4 both are great quads you'll love both of them but the 400's gas tank is bigger lol

Yes, the scrambler can be switched between 2x4 and TRUE 4x4. The 400 has a "sportier" feeling because it does way less than the 500 4x4 scram. But, the 500 scram is by no mean a sloush. That 500 HO motor has some *****. It really shines on slow twists trails and hills cuz that thing has great low end torque. The 400 shines more in higher RPM horsepower

too bad they dont make the 2x4 any more, but if you want a sporty type of bike go with the tb 400( if you can find one,if you out of state i can get you one here). if you do alot of mud and deep water were you need 4wd then go with the scrambler.

the new blazer flys! though the scambler is a lil slower though but if he wants to go thorugh mudhe would be ok with blazer but bogging and stuff i'd go with a 500 cuz the blazer gets stuck because of the 2x4 the 4x4 can really come in handy
