does anyone know if both of the yellow wires comming from the stator/magneto/generator(whatever you want to call it) are supposed to be hot while the engine is running? Mine are not. i lost all power on the circut board in the front of the machine. but i do have two wires with power to the coil so the engine will still run.

If your key switch is moved slighlty while the engine is running, all accessory power and AWD is shut off.......maybe look in this area.

I assume you mean a yellow and red\yellow wire. They go to the regulator. There should be a minimum of 7 amps coming from them at an idle, dont increase the RPM. If you test it only do for a few seconds because it puts a full load on the alternator windings. If you dont have any reading the stator needs to be replaced. You should really get a manuel if you are doing your own work, saves alot of time.
