What aftermarket cam is everyone running?
What do you think of web cams......I just bought the 736/737 web cam.......and it is awaiting install.....does anyone on the forum running this cam?......what do youthink about it?

the dude that usually does my motor work had a spill on his 250r during a MX race, and broke his collar bone......he is out of commission for a while......what should I expect a shop to charge me for install on this cam?.......changing the springs and retainers also.......
also......am I wrong in assuming that i will need another head gasket?

thanx Peeps......

Head gaskets should only be used once. Any peep should know that.

The 736/737 web cam is almost as good as a stage1 from hotcams. I would also use a HP headgasket

about 200 for the install

I'll get in on this also. what do you guys think of a 685 web cam vs the stage II hot cams? I love my stage II but gust looking for some more top end and maybe a little less bottomend, ya know to keep that front end down with the minimal amount of swing arm length.

Lowbowtie- The 685 is a great cam if you only like to drag race. If you feed it the fuel that it needs you will not like the midrange than you will have with stock carbs. When i first installed the 685 and got it to run from bottom to top it was NO FASTER than a stage 2. Crafty and i have the same motor and when i installed the 685 cam we were running even. After really feeding it the fuel it needs there was a BIG difference in 660 feet, but then the driveability suffered to much thru the stock carbs. I think the stage 2 is the best choice out there now for all around riding styles. Crafty was running a 5.1 with his stage 2 .

thanks 14, I have a big enough problem feeding the motor enough fuel now through the stock carbs. The are still a pain in my rear, it runns O.K. but I know there is possibility for more HP with them tuned right. I really want to know how Ben's Lectron works.

With the right spring compressor you could change the springs without pulling the head but I would not do it that way myself.

I have tryed Removing the springs with the head on. All I have to say is PIA. the tool used to compress the spring is interfering with the frame. It's hard enough to get the stockers off it is nearly impossible to put the double ones back on. I got the three intakes off and then ended up just pulling the head. Hope this helps.
