Default Raptor or DS 650??

I'm torn between the DS 650 and the Raptor 660. Which is faster, and which one is better for trail riding?

I think the DS is a little faster stock for stock.....I'd personally go with the Raptor though, then again I love my Raptor therefore I have a biased opinion...

Default Raptor or DS 650??

I went riding this weekend in Shiloh Ridge, I ride a Raptor and my cusin rides DS650 Baja and we were switching our machines back and forth,so i can tell you the differences easily. Well 1st a DS BAJA is faster then a raptor stock but the rev limiters are very quick to kick in. Im not saying my aptor is slow i beat him 3 times out of 8. The raptor though is a very fun machine to with its ability to pop a whillie withought clutch use (Dont hurt your clutch as much). Another thing is reverse, baja doesnt have reverse but the Rappy does. But it all depends on your riding. If you drag race a DS is for you but if you do both ALOT a Raptor is better IMO. Any other questions feel free to ask!

Default Raptor or DS 650??

DS for wide open burns and desert style riding where there's no bush and mud due to it's width and weight.... Raptor for everything and anything else... Just like stunts, the Raptor is way better for stunts than the DS, it's too big and heavy... The DS is too big and heavy for the bushes and mud too if you like to ride in that stuff... But the Raptor can't touch the DS for ride plushness and acceleration stock vs stock in the rough stuff and for longer rides... Go by that to choose, we don't know what you ride obviously... It's not hard to make the Raptor handle as good, just hard to make it quite as comfortable due to the seat design if you care bout that... But take in mind it's quite a bit harder to make the DS bush worthy due to it's width and weight, items not so easy to trim down... As well, there's alot more out there to mod the Raptor than the DS to make the Raptor easily just as fast if not faster... My '01 Raptor was dead even to my buddies '01 DS in drags, we'd trade wins back to back due to hookup and so on... Same top end, he might have had 1-2MPH on me if that, that was stock vs stock, he wouldn't stand a chance against my Raptor now with the bolt on intake and exhaust I've done, but I doubt his quad would react as good to the same mods....

Isn't the 04 DS 650Baja a little smaller and lighter than the previous years??
