Painting Exhaust
#2
I painted my head pipe on my Warrior go with the 1200 the 500 will not be enough. My Warrior stock got up to 600 degrees right at the cyl. head probably alot more now. Its been holding up good but I dont ride in water or anything like that.

Yeah, go with the 1200. And give it plenty of time to dry. At least 24. I painted the head pipe on my Bear and waited just 2 hours before riding it, the paint started bubbling up and looked like crap. I stripped it off, repainted it and let it dry for a day. It's still on there.

If you will buy the 1500 degree ceramic paint from AutoZone and follow the instructions it will last a long time. You have to BAKE the pipe after it dries for 4 hours at 400 degree's. This wil set it up like a ceramic coating. works really well, but you must bake it.
