Some of you might know that i have been thinking about buying a YFZ. Well i looked on ebay and saw what i thought to be one hell of a deal (the second link). Turned out to be to good of one. Heres what i found. Compare the links with each other.

YFZ450 .. i got this VIN # for this quad from him by email : JY4AJ11Y14C000264

There was also another auction on ebay using the same vin number and the description is exactly the same as the first link posted. I thought i had it in my "my ebay" as watching but i guess not. I dont remember it being from Portugal tho. All i had to do after i got the vin # from him was paste it into the search field on google and it showed the first link. This type of crap just pi$$es me right off, id love to meet this guy face to face. If you guys ever come across scams like this i recommend posting them on here.

Yep, I've gone rounds with two guys on Ebay advertising YFZs for rediculously low prices in the last couple months. One guy was going to ship me one from (get this!) Italy for $2500, and the other guy was in Florida and only wanted $3700 for a brand new one but he wouldn't let me come get it in person.

Hmmmm, sure sounds like a scam to me!

 

Sounds like the same guy. He wouldnt let me come pick it up either. I live in Michigan and hes selling it from BC, Canada (supposedly), for 4800$ i was going to drive my a$$ there to get it for that price. He said he would only ship it. I live in a small town so i know all the state cops in my area, they will be notified tomorrow. I got the name and address he wanted me to ship the money to, im still waiting on his phone number.

There are also several raptor scams going on. I was bidding on one until I emailed the seller. He told me he would sell the raptor for $2900 shipped to my door. It was a brand new 2003. AFter that I backed off. He said he lived in Portugal but the ebay ad said US. I next checked ATVtrader and found 2 more raptors. One brand new 03 for $3200 in spain, and another new 03 in South Carolina for $2900. This one had a phone number. I called it and it did not work. I then looked up the area code and discovered it was not assigned to any region in the world, bogus area code. So there are tons of these guys out there, or they may be the same one, who knows but be smart and be careful.

i almost got ripped myself intil i found www.sos4auctions.com . there are some horrible stories there about people getting ripped off. Most of these scammers use fake escrow services. Check that site for helpful information!

 

I just sold a 650 Pairie on ebay. Someone e-mailed me some pictures of another 650, in Portugal, that was for sale in a online classified site. Surprise, surprise, IT WAS MY MACHINE!! The guy had used my pictures to try to scam someone for $2600.

 

Yah, thats what I did not understand. All the pictures of these quads were different. One was a modified quad. When I asked if it was BRAND NEW like stated or if was modded and used he said nope its brand new so that was all I needed to hear. Another one had like 4 different raptors for one post. Idiots.

 

now if u were going to pull of a scame like this won't u at least make it so the buyer can beleive it....

then u look at other acution and there is a kx85 in crate wit missing parts like the tires and the same thing with a crf450

 

I was on ebay yesterday and noticed a auction for quote "FMF Powercore 4" "Spark Arrestor" but showed a picture of a full silencer. Now cant that person send you the Spark arrestor and it be legal??? The bids were around 90 bucks. They had two auctions going on for that.

 

This sounds like a scam to me, but I couldnt resist finding out. I sent the person an email saying I was going to be in Portugal on a trip soon [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Told him I was willing to travel and I wanted to look over the quad before I buy it, make sure I like it all that...so we will see what happens and I will post to let you all know what they say.
